根據人本教育基金會調查，全國有9成國中小還存在體罰現象。教育部長蔣偉寧表示，不管是語言或身體的體罰都不適合，老師應該以教育方式處理，教育部會努力讓體罰在校園裡消失，對於老師有不當體罰行為，教育部也會追蹤瞭解處理。
