1. 英國泰晤士報高等教育專刊，公布2013年世界大學聲望排名，美國哈佛大學蟬聯第1，麻省理工學院、英國劍橋大學分別位居第2、3名；我國的臺灣大學排名提升，由去年第61到70名間進步到第51到60名，是歷年來最好成績。臺灣大學表示，過去一年學校致力於國際化，是這次排名提升的主因之一。
Times Higher Education Supplement announces the World University Rankings in 2013. Harvard University is the top one, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of Cambridge are ranked the next. National Taiwan University is improved from the ranking 61st to 70th to the ranking 51st to 60th which is the best performance ever. NTU indicates that the improvement comes from its effort on internationalization which has taken during the past one year.
2. 教育部青年發展署即日起招募「第七屆青年旅遊志工」，包括：國際推廣大使、校園推廣大使、鄉鎮情報員等三類；參加青年旅遊志工後，青年署也將安排共專業培訓課程，歡迎18歲到30歲喜愛旅遊的國內外青年上網查詢招募簡章，報名時間到3月25號截止。
Department of Youth Development will hold the enrollment for the volunteers of the 7th travelling program for young people including the ambassadors for international affairs, the ambassadors for school promotion and intelligencers for villages and towns. The volunteers who take part in the program will be arranged to professional training courses. Young people between age 18 to 30 who are fond of travelling are welcome to check the one-line enrollment brochure through the website of the department. The application will be due March 25th.
3. 桃園縣「高中職免試入學薦送作業」即日起跑，共有1萬8127個名額，占總招生名額74.6%，其中，武陵高中更開放五成名額給免試入學「國中薦送」。教育局提醒，各國中要在3月26號、27號，向永豐高中完成集體報名。
The recommendation for test-free entrance held by Taoyuan County starts working. Eighteen thousand one hundred twenty-seven vacancies will be offered which takes 74.6 percent of the total entrance enrollment. 武陵 Senior High School even opens fifty percent of the all vacancies to the recommendation. Bureau of Education reminds each junior high school of finishing all the collective application conducted by 永豐 Senior High School before March 26th and 27th.
4. 臺中市童軍節慶祝大會，昨天(5)上午在圓滿戶外劇場擴大舉行，今年共有臺中市大專、高中職、國中小及各社區組成的童軍團3,800人參加；台中市副市長蔡炳坤期勉全市學校達到「校校有童軍」的目標，讓童軍活動成為臺中市的特色。
The celebration for Scouts Festival was held in 圓滿 outdoor theatre of Taichung City. Three thousand eight hundred scout teams from college, high schools and elementary schools participated in it this year. The vice mayor 蔡炳坤 encouraged and expected each local school to organize scout team making scout activities become one of distinguishing features of Taichung City.
5. 迎接4月22號世界地球日，台北市環保局和國家地理頻道，4月20號將在大佳河濱公園舉辦「為地球而跑」公益路跑活動，即日起民眾可以上國家地理頻道官網報名，限額6000名。台北市長郝龍斌表示，愛地球做環保，早一點多做一點，對地球就多一點幫助，呼籲全民愛護我們的環境。

6.美國一家市調公司發佈預測，今年全球的智慧型手機出貨量，將首次超過功能型手機，也就是傳統手機。智慧型手機在新興國家，快速普及，帶動今年全球智慧型手機的出貨量。預計今年的智慧型手機出貨量，將占整體手機出貨量的20.1％，正式超過傳統的「功能性手機」。以地區來看，今年，中國仍然會是最大的智慧型手機市場，美國排名第二，第三名是英國，第四名是日本。
The forecast of a survey from a U.S company shows that the quantity of delivery for smart phones surpasses the traditional ones for the first time. Smart phones speedily become popular in developing countries, which causes to higher global demand. The quantity of delivery f or smart phones is expected to reach 20.1% of all in this year, which is formally higher than traditional functional cell phones. China may be still the biggest market for the sales of smart phone, U.S and England are ranked 2nd. Japan is considered the 4th.
